FRP Finish Information

FRP body parts are manufactured differently from injection-moulded plastic parts and may display minor surface imperfections from the manufacturing process.

Installation

Before making any permanent modifications, the wide body components should be temporarily positioned on the vehicle using masking tape.

Check the fitment, positioning and alignment of the wheel arches, side skirts, front lip and rear spoiler before proceeding.

With the wheel arch components correctly positioned, mark the sections of the original front and rear arches that require cutting.

Remove the wide body components before carrying out any cutting.

Cutting of the required original wheel arch areas is necessary for installation.

Carefully cut the marked sections using suitable bodywork tools.

Once the cutting work has been completed, reposition the wide body components and check the fitment and alignment again.

Mark the locations where mounting holes are required.

Remove the components and drill the required holes using appropriately sized drill bits.

Drilling is required to install this wide body kit.

Reposition the components, align the mounting holes and secure them using suitable automotive screws / mechanical fixings.

Before fully tightening the fixings, check that the components are positioned evenly and aligned correctly with the surrounding bodywork.

The screws should then be tightened securely without overtightening or damaging the FRP components.

Any exposed metal created during cutting or drilling should be appropriately treated and sealed as part of the installation process to help protect against corrosion.
