FRP Finish Information

FRP body parts are manufactured differently from injection-moulded plastic parts and may display minor surface imperfections from the manufacturing process.

The spoiler is supplied unpainted and requires appropriate surface preparation before painting.

We recommend trial-fitting all three spoiler sections before carrying out final preparation or painting so that fitment, positioning and alignment can be checked first.

Professional preparation and painting by an experienced automotive body shop are recommended.

Installation

All three spoiler sections should first be positioned and trial-fitted on the vehicle to confirm correct fitment, spacing and alignment before permanent installation.

The mounting surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned using a suitable panel wipe so they are free from wax, grease, dirt and other contaminants that could affect adhesion.

Masking tape can be used to mark the correct position of each spoiler section before adhesive is applied.

Automotive-grade silicone adhesive is required for installation.

Apply the automotive silicone evenly to the appropriate contact areas on the rear of each spoiler section.

Carefully position each section using the previously marked locations and press firmly against the vehicle to ensure good contact between the spoiler and mounting surface.

Once positioned correctly, use masking or painter’s tape to hold the spoiler sections securely in place while the automotive silicone cures.

Any excess adhesive should be removed before it cures, using a suitable cleaning product recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.

The automotive silicone must be allowed to fully cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions before the vehicle is driven, washed or exposed to severe weather conditions.

Once cured, remove the temporary tape and carry out a final inspection to ensure all three sections are correctly aligned and securely attached.

Professional installation by an experienced body shop or automotive technician is strongly recommended.
