FRP Finish Information
FRP body parts are manufactured differently from injection-moulded plastic parts and may display minor surface imperfections from the manufacturing process.
This spoiler is supplied unpainted with a primer finish and should be appropriately prepared before painting.
We recommend trial-fitting the spoiler before carrying out final surface preparation or painting so that fitment, positioning and mounting points can be checked first.
Professional preparation and painting by an experienced automotive body shop are recommended.
Installation
The spoiler must first be positioned and trial-fitted on the boot lid to confirm correct fitment, alignment and symmetrical positioning before any holes are drilled.
Masking tape can be applied to the installation area to protect the surrounding paintwork and provide a clear guide for positioning the spoiler.
Once the correct position has been confirmed, carefully mark the required mounting-hole locations.
Drilling is required to install this spoiler.
Remove the spoiler and drill the required mounting holes using an appropriately sized drill bit, taking care to avoid damage to the surrounding bodywork or components beneath the boot lid.
Any exposed metal around newly drilled holes should be appropriately protected or sealed to help prevent corrosion.
Position the spoiler over the drilled mounting points and secure it using suitable automotive screws.
Tighten the fixings evenly and securely while taking care not to overtighten them, as excessive force may damage the FRP spoiler or the boot lid.
Carry out a final check to ensure the spoiler is correctly aligned, securely mounted and positioned evenly across the vehicle.
Because installation requires accurate positioning, drilling and secure mechanical fixing, professional fitting by an experienced body shop or automotive technician is strongly recommended.
