ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We manufacture our Audi RS4 front splitter in-house from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic), ensuring exceptional durability and strength.
• Please be aware that the finish on our splitter/lip is not gloss black paint. While we do our best to deliver the best finish possible, FRP parts may have minor surface imperfections and will often require preparation and painting before installation.
• If you’re happy with the finish, you can install the splitter/lip as it is — otherwise, painting is recommended for a more refined look.

INSTALLATION:

1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the lower front area of the vehicle where the splitter will be installed. Use panel wipe to ensure the surface is free from dirt, grease, and residue. Allow it to dry completely.

2. Position the Splitter: Place the FRP front splitter lip against the front bumper to check the fit and alignment. Use masking tape to temporarily secure it in place, making any necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment.

3. Mark the Mounting Points: Once satisfied with the placement, mark the spots on the bumper where the screw holes on the splitter align.

4. Drill Pilot Holes: Carefully drill pilot holes at the marked spots on the bumper. Ensure the holes are the appropriate size for the screws you’ll be using.

5. Apply Silicone Adhesive: Apply a thin, even layer of automotive silicone adhesive along the backside of the splitter that will come in contact with the bumper. This will help create a secure seal and prevent any potential vibrations.

6. Secure the Splitter: Line up the splitter with the pilot holes and carefully place it onto the front bumper. Insert screws through the pre-drilled holes on the splitter into the pilot holes on the bumper. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws securely but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage.

7. Cleanup and Final Adjustments: Wipe away any excess silicone or smudges with a clean cloth. Double-check the alignment of the splitter and make any final adjustments if needed.

8. Allow for Cure Time: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the automotive silicone adhesive regarding curing time. It’s typically recommended to let it cure for at least 24 hours before driving.
