ITEM DESCRIPTION:

• We have designed and manufactured our front splitter lip for the Audi RS3 8P 2009-2012 from high-grade FRP (fiber reinforced plastic), ensuring its durability and strength.
• Please be aware that the finish on our splitter/lip is not gloss black paint. While we do our best to deliver the best finish possible, FRP parts may have minor surface imperfections and will often require preparation and painting before installation.
• If you’re happy with the finish, you can install the splitter/lip as it is — otherwise, painting is recommended for a more refined look.
• Front bumper skin NOT included.

INSTALLATION:

1. Preparation:
– Ensure your Audi RS3 is parked on a flat and stable surface. If needed, use a jack and jack stands to elevate the front of the vehicle for better access.
– Clean the lower front bumper area where the splitter will be attached using alcohol and a microfiber cloth. This ensures a clean and grease-free surface.

2. Positioning:
– Temporarily place the black FRP front splitter lip extension in its desired position on the lower front bumper. Use masking tape to hold it in place.
– Measure and align the splitter to ensure it is centered and level.

3. Application of Silicone:
– Lift the splitter and apply a generous amount of automotive-grade silicone adhesive along the edges and contact points that will be in contact with the bumper.
– Lower the splitter back into position, pressing it firmly against the bumper to spread the adhesive evenly.

4. Securing with Screws:
– After applying silicone, insert screws through the pre-drilled holes in the splitter and into the corresponding points on the bumper.
– Tighten the screws securely but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the splitter or the bumper.
– Wipe away any excess silicone that may have squeezed out during installation.

5. Final Adjustments:
– Double-check the alignment and level of the splitter to ensure it meets your desired appearance.
– Allow the silicone to cure as per the manufacturer’s instructions, typically for at least 24 hours.
– Remove any masking tape or protective film from the splitter.

6. Test Drive:
– Before driving, test the splitter’s stability by gently pushing on it to ensure it’s securely attached.
